I can’t get over how stem tetrapods are literal transitional animals, bridging evolutionary gaps, from one thing to another, through their own sheer will. They recognized that a lack of lungs or legs were just a social construct, and the only thing keeping them off land, was themselves. Actual forces of nature, pushing things forward for all of us. Another reminder that those who step on land before their legs have fully formed, truly are the bravest. Couldn’t be more perfect for this song, I keep finding little gems that make it so much better.

PPC literally made me cry the first time I sat down and listened to it. somehow, this parody captures the same volume of emotion as the original. i feel for this fish. we were all born to be free.

This song parody has so much overlap with the themes of Freedom in the original song and the Stem Tetrapods escaping opressive waters and tapping into rich resources on the land. In addition the Stem Tetrapods are our distant direct ancestor so elicting familial wordplay is also impactful
